Tomorrow at the Midnight Rooster in Hartsville, the inaugural Artsville Songwriting Competition will begin! The first round of the lyrical throw down will be starting at 6pm in the coffee house and will be judged by 4 award-winning songwriters from all over the world! 25 songwriters from around the region will face off for cash and prizes, but the overall grand prize winner will receive $250, the chance to perform at RoosterFest, and a recording package from Southern Harmony Recording Studio. The 25 songwriters will be recorded tomorrow night and their music will be sent to the judges. Then, the judges will narrow down 10 semi-finalists to move onto the next round of competition to be held on September 30th. You can find more details on the phases of competition here.
