South Carolina Stalwarts exhibit - Day 73
Carl Blair & Laura Spong's exhibit at the Florence Museum opens today! This exhibit of contemporary abstract paintings is co-curated by Wim Roefs of the if ART Gallery in Columbia, SC. These two artists are very well known throughout South Carolina. Both artists have works in the State Art Collection of the South Carolina Arts Commission and both are featured in the new exhibit Abstract Art in South Carolina: 1949 - 2012 at the State Museum. It is very cool to have their work here in Florence and it will be on display until May 27th.
An opening reception for South Carolina Stalwarts will be held at the Florence Museum on Friday evening, March 16 at 7:30 pm; it is free and open to the public. More info...
365 Days Around Florence is a blog written by the Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau. At the Visitor Center near the Florence Civic Center, we spend a great deal of our time in letting guests know how much is happening in Florence. We decided to share (blog-style) 365 days' worth of things to do. Find more things to do at www.visitflo.com/regional_calendar/ ... and enjoy!
