Marion's 23rd Annual Holiday Prelude & Tree Lighting - Day 327

Spend the weekend in Marion on December 1st and 2nd and enjoy plenty of holiday activities!

On Saturday, enjoy the Olde Towne Farmers' Market from 9am-12pm. Santa will arrive at 10am and there will be hay rides leaving from the Farmers' Market. Then at 4:30pm the streets will be cleared for the Marion Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade.

On Sunday at 4pm the Latta Singers' Christmas Presentation will be held at the Marion Baptist Church with a dessert reception to follow in the Opera House. Then, from 5-7pm, the Pilot Club Soup and Cornbread Supper with silent auction will take place in the fellowship hall. Santa will arrive in town at 5:30pm, the Christmas show at the Courthouse will begin at 5:45pm, and the tree lighting celebration will take place at 6pm. As if that isn't exciting enough, stick around immediately following the ceremony for fireworks at the Withlacoochee Park! Talk about a kick-off to the holidays!

365 Days Around Florence is a blog written by the Florence Convention & Visitors Bureau. At the Visitors Center - located near the Florence Civic Center - we spend a great deal of our time in letting guests know how much is happening in Florence. We decided to share (blog-style) 365 days worth of things to do. Find more things to do on our online calendar, and enjoy!
